Jun Cheng received the B.Eng. and PhD degrees from University of Science and Technology of China, in 2002 and Nanyang Technologicaly University, 2008, respectively. He was with Panasonic Singapore Laboratory from 2007 to 2009. In October 2009, he joined the Institute for Infocomm Research, Agence for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore, where he is currently a research scientist with iMED ocular imaging programme. His research focuses on new algorithms, applications, and systems for medical imaging and image analysis especially the retina Fundus and OCT images for eye disease screening and detection. He has published over 50 papers including top journal and major conference in TMI, TIP, SP, MICCAI, ICIP, ACCV, ICASSP, ICPR, ICIEA, ICHI, and EMBC. His work in AGLAIA (Automatic glaucoma diangosis and its genetic association study through medical image informatics) has won the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards 2013.
