Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the most common type of lupus and is a chronic autoimmune disease of phases of worsening symptoms alternating with mild symptoms. However, most people with SLE lead a normal life. Skin rashes are important manifestation of the disease. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is one amongst the many autoimmune diseases. The exact cause of SLE is not known, but several factors have been incriminated like genetics, environment, gender, hormones and many others. Here, we present two cases of SLE with Skin manifestations. The most notable skin manifestation is butterfly rash over the nose which spreads to both sides of the nose onto the cheek. One of the two patients had also deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
